The story behind the name — and the heart behind the project.

Throughout my football journey, there’s always a moment I come back to.
A moment that has defined the way I see football, it’s community and my involvement within

It’s that first breath when you walk up the steps of the Stadio Olimpico, the concrete shaking beneath your feet, and suddenly the sound hits you, a choir of 70,000 fans, all together with one common passion, AS Roma. As fans in the ‘Curva Sud’ sing, the stadium enchants you, and you find yourself falling for the giallorossi again every time.

It’s the only stadium in the world that has ever given me goosebumps before I could even see the pitch.

And that is exactly where the name “Curva Rossi” comes from.

Curva — because I grew up with Rome in my veins

The word curva in Italy isn’t just a stand. It’s not just a place where fans sit.
It’s a world.
A culture.
A heartbeat.

The Curva Sud of AS Roma is the place where people don’t just watch football — they live football.
Where identity is not a banner or a scarf, but something woven into the soul.
Where passion is not a word, but the air that everyone breathes together.

To me, AS Roma holds a special value.
Not polished, not manufactured, not commercial, but raw, emotional, loyal, imperfect, and beautiful.

It’s where fandom becomes family.
Where chants become memories.
Where football becomes more than a sport.

The eternal city of Rome, is a place that you don’t simply live in, it’s a shared sense of belonging that all share eternally.

So Curva is not just for AS Roma.
It’s a reference to where my sense of passion comes from.
The beginning of my love for ‘The Beautiful Game’.

Rossi — because this is my story

The other half of the name is much simpler.
It’s my surname.
My identity.
My signature.

Curva Rossi represents me — the way I see football, the way I feel it, the way I choose to live it.

This blog isn’t just analysis or journalism.
It’s not only about tactics, press conferences, or results.

It’s a place where I can write from the viewpoint of someone who has stood in the Curva Sud and felt what football can do to a person.
It’s a space where passion and perspective are allowed to coexist.
Where fandom and storytelling are equally important.

Most importantly:
Curva Rossi is the bridge between my roots, my life, and the journey I’m taking through journalism and sport.

What this blog truly is

Curva Rossi will be:

  • a representation of intense fandom
  • a glimpse into my life as a football fanatic
  • a space where stories meet emotion
  • a blend of my Italian identity and my experiences here in Madrid
  • a reflection of the way football shapes the people who love it

When I write, I want you to feel the same goosebumps I felt in the Curva Sud.
I want you to hear the roar, the chants, the heartbeat of the crowd.
And I want this blog to show that football is more than goals and standings — it’s culture, memory, identity, and connection.

Curva Rossi isn’t just a title.
It’s who I am.
It’s where I come from.
And now, it’s where this journey begins.
